Asa Ta?Map

Terms of use

Last updated October 10, 2026

These terms are the rules for using Asa Ta?, a free travel map of the Philippines. By using the site or signing in, you agree to them. Please also read our privacy notice, which explains what we do with your data.

Who can sign up

Anyone can browse without an account. To sign in you must be 18 or older, or 13 to 17 with a parent's or guardian's permission. One account per person; keep your sign-in to yourself. You're responsible for what's posted from your account.

Travel information is a guide, not a guarantee

Places, fees, opening hours, routes, ferry and bus schedules, festival dates, weather and travel notes change, and some information comes from travelers and public sources. We work to keep it accurate, but we can't promise it's complete or current.

Check locally before you go, follow official advisories (PAGASA, local governments, the Coast Guard and the Department of Tourism), and use your own judgment about safety: hikes, swimming, sea crossings and remote places carry real risks. Directions open in Google Maps or Apple Maps, whose own terms apply.

What you post

When you add a place, a photo, a caption, a note or a message, you confirm that:

  • it's yours to share: you took the photo or have permission, and you wrote the text yourself;
  • it's accurate to the best of your knowledge;
  • people who can be clearly identified in a photo are okay with it being shared, and it shows nobody in a private or intimate situation;
  • it isn't false or defamatory about anyone, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or an advertisement or spam;
  • it doesn't break any law, including the Data Privacy Act and the Cybercrime Prevention Act.

You keep ownership of what you post. You allow Asa Ta? to store it and show it in the app and on shared pages (for public photos and approved places, to everyone; for private photos and your travel log, only to you), and to resize or crop it to fit. This permission ends when you delete it, except that places already approved stay listed as shared travel information without your name, as the privacy notice explains.

Reviews, reports and removals

Places travelers add are reviewed before they're listed. Anyone can report a place or photo with "Report a problem". We may edit, hide or remove content that breaks these terms or that we're asked to take down for a good legal reason, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly do so. If you think something was removed by mistake, contact us.

Businesses and featured listings

Businesses (places to stay, eat, shop, tours and transport) are listed to help travelers. A listing isn't an endorsement, and any booking, purchase or ride is between you and the business. Listings marked Featured are promoted placements.

Fair use of the app

Please don't copy the app's content in bulk, scrape it, overload it, try to get into other people's accounts or the admin area, or use it to send spam. The map data is Β© OpenStreetMap contributors and is shared under its own licence.

Our responsibility

Asa Ta? is provided free and "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses or injuries that come from relying on travel information, from visiting a place, or from dealings with a listed business. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Philippine consumer law.

Closing your account

You can delete your account and data any time from My account. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Changes and governing law

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its date; important changes will also be shown in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
